I have been the current Pastor here at St. Francis de Sales for the past eight (8) years. I was born on December 16th, 1971 in Binh Thuan, about 150 miles northeast of Saigon, Vietnam. I left Vietnam by boat to pursue my vocation at age 17. I lived in Kuala Lumpur Refugee Camp for a year before I came to the United States and settled in Charlotte, NC. Joined the Redemptorists Religious Order in 1993 and studied Philosophy at St. John’s University, Jamaica ,N.Y. Studied Master of Divinity at Washington Theological Union in Washington, D.C. for about 2 years. Joined the Archdiocese of Galveston –Houston in 2000. Continued my studies at St. Mary’s Seminary, Houston, TX and graduated with a Master of Divinity at University of St. Thomas. Ordained priest for our Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston on May 17, 2003, by our Archbishop Joseph Fiorenza. My first assignment as parochial vicar was at St. Martha, Kingwood, TX from 2003 to 2006 under the guidance and leadership of Msgr. Chester Borski. I was transferred to Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Tomball, TX from 2006-2008 as parochial vicar. From 2008 to July 15th, 2014 I was named Pastor at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Needville, TX and St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Damon, TX.
